David spent 3 days at Atprojects Goroka HQ developing the FileMaker Pro-based ATp Project Manager database. This is a toll for Atp staff to plan and manage all aspecys of development projects they operate. Richard is shown here helping create standard layouts and print forms for managing project data.

Management Training

David provided a range of day courses for section managemers for the PNG University of Technology in Lae. Reaining ranged from project planning to personal communications and office productivity skills, and introductory and advanced computer applications training. Courses were held at the Library at Unitech campus in Lae.

 

ATP Studio

In cooperation with Vudu Productions, a small PNG video/audio production company operated by John Faunt, David assisted in the setting up of a small audio/video production studio for Atprojects in Goroka.

 

IT Consultancy ATprojects

The photo here shows David consulting with Cora, Information Officer, ATprojects Inc in Goroka, EHP, PNG.  ATprojects produces  a development newsletter, titled PNGDEV News, which has a subscriber list of over 1600, and is distributed by group email over a radio link from their National Appropriate Technology Centre, close to Mt.Gahavisuka near Goroka town.

Wewak trip….

Innov8 travelled to Wewak in early April for a week-long computer support consultancy with HELP Resources Inc. – David is shown here training Cherubim on MYOB Accounting System to track project expenses on the Water & Sanitation project funded by WaterAid Australia.

Goroka visit….

David undertook a short IT support trip to Oxfam Goroka in late March. Work was done to set up a wireless network for the organisation and tidy up anti-virus and data exchange.
